The Iowa Brigade

Iowans Dedicated to the Future

About us

In the wake of the 2008 Caucus/Primary season a group of concerned Iowa conservatives saw a need to be fulfilled. Despite the widespread ability to communicate rapidly there was no central clearinghouse for political news in our fair state. There was no easily accessed list of websites and contact information. Out of that revelation the Iowa Brigade was launched. The Iowa Brigade is a group of staunch conservative Iowans determined to make difference. This determination gave rise to the website that you are now visiting.

In the course of our work with the Iowa Brigade many of us developed stronger and stronger opinions in regards to the news makers and policy makers. We were committed to maintaining the Iowa Brigade as an information only site, to post our opinions here would be violating our own rules. So to remedy this situation we launched The Iowa Defense Alliance. Through our work with these two outlets we feel we can contribute to the reemergence of a conservative majority.

  1. This is just a FANTASTIC idea! I just found this site. Keep up the wonderful work.

I’ll pass the word on to others to check this site out on a regular basis.

Thank you for the encouragement. We are building Iowa politics one conservative at a time.

  3. Great site, this takes a lot of work and I thank you for it.

We must retake the rhetorical battlefield and persuade the public to agree with us. We cannot allow the party of division, despair, deceit and defeat to define the debate so that lies and half-truths become urban myths and then conventional wisdom.

    Thanks for doing your part!!!!

Thank you Ted, coming from you that means a great deal. You may see a few of us at the state convention in June. I have a great deal of respect for you. It takes a real leader to stand up and admit what you did. For that I commend you.

I agree, Sporer is a great man, I dont know why he constantly stands up for RINO’s like Juan McCain, but I suppose that is name of the game, go with the lesser evil.

I guess I will never be completely on board with a Republican who is for Amnesty, but thanks for what you are doing anyways… After all if we agree 70% of the time that is better than not at all.

Sam, as you can see there are no RINOs on this site. We have tried to dedicate this site to true conservatives. We have not included all Republican names here.

This is great and I know we need to get started right now if we are going to take back the republican party or start our own conservative party. I am totally embarrassed by the way John McCains aids treated Sarah Palin after the election. She was the one bright spot in the presidential election and she was not afraid to tell it like it is. The republican party needs to get some backbone and start demanding what this country wants and what it was built on
